About Us

June Saunders

When I’m not at the computer, I enjoy a good hike in the woods.

My publications include co-authoring Cultivating Heart and Character: Educating for Life’s Most Essential Goals (Character Development Group, 2000), The Future of Peace (Carolina Academic Press, 2003) and a character education curriculum series entitled Alive to the World (Alliance for the Family, 2003 – 2012). I do a weekly historical article for the Civil War website 7score10years.com.

I have a B.A. in English from the University of Iowa and was accepted into the prestigious Writers Workshop. I’ve done editorial consultation for the United Nations and I’m in the top 3% of Guru freelancers in writing and editing.

I love working with novelists! Did you know that F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby, was a terrible speller? He needed an editor and proofreader. In other words, he needed a PenPal!

Annie McMahon
I offer general proofreading and editing, article writing, and blogging. My specialty is proofreading middle grade novels for authors wanting to self-publish.

I have a degree in computer programming, but my life took an unexpected turn and I ended up writing stories and articles instead of computer programs. Writing is my passion. I use every spare minute I have to write children’s novels and short stories, and to help other writers succeed.

My three children have been the inspiration behind many of my short stories, over forty in total. My flash fiction story, Paradoxical Neighbor, has been published by Nelson Education in a book for 10th graders, Nelson Literacy 10. My MG novel, Adventure on Nemesis Mountain, is available on Amazon.

I'm a member of SCBWI, I moderate a critique group for children's writers, and I'm the editor at UK Children's Publishing.
